CONTEST RULES (“RULES”)
CONTEST PERIOD:
The Cambridge Business Crawl Contest (“Contest”) will run from 9:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2017
7 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 (“Contest Period”). The Sponsor’s clock is the time keeping device for this Contest.
CONTEST LOCATION:
The Contest will be administered through fifteen different locations across Cambridge, Ontario and the two Meridian Credit Union branches at 125 Dundas St N #1 and 101 Holiday Inn Dr B4, Cambridge. The sponsor of the Contest is ShopCambridge.ca (“Sponsor”).
ELIGIBILITY:
No purchase or payment necessary. The contest is open to all residents of Ontario 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of, members of the immediate family of, or those domiciled with an employee of, ShopCambridge.ca, Intrigue Media Cambridge, Meridian Credit Union or the advertising, and promotional agencies and administrators used in connection with the contest, are not eligible to participate. Owner/operators and their immediate family of the fifteen (15) participating businesses are not eligible to win. Employees/Volunteers (and their families) of the fifteen (15) participating businesses are considered eligible to win the Grand Prize. These businesses include: Purple Door, Nature’s Vibe, 13 Food and Beverage, Colour Dress Boutique, Millpond Records & Books, O & V Tasting Room, The Hub Bicycle Shop, C & G Solid Wood Furniture, Next Time Around, Plato’s Closet Cambridge, One Tooth Activewear, Botanical Propaganda, Monarch Pharmasave, Women’s International Gift and Gallery and Cell Phone Repair. Immediate family consists of parents, siblings, children, and spouse.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Enter by visiting all fifteen (15) locations on the contest passport to received a punch from each business member. Passports must hold all fifteen(15) correct punches to be eligible for entry. Each participant is permitted one entry during the contest period. Any participant who submits more than one entry will be disqualified. Any passports deemed suspect or fraudulent will be removed from eligibility to win. Only entries with a correct answer to the skill testing question are eligible to win.
THE PRIZE:
Grand Prize of one (1) $1,500 package of gift cards (“Prize”) are available to be won during the Contest Period. The Prize has a retail value of $1,500 and will consist of one (1) $100 gift card or voucher from each of the following businesses/organizations: Purple Door, Nature’s Vibe, 13 Food and Beverage, Colour Dress Boutique, Millpond Records & Books, O & V Tasting Room, The Hub Bicycle Shop, C & G Solid Wood Furniture, Next Time Around, Plato’s Closet Cambridge, One Tooth Activewear, Botanical Propaganda, Monarch Pharmasave, Women’s International Gift and Gallery and Cell Phone Repair. The Grand Prize is not redeemable for cash.
WINNER SELECTION:
There will be a random draw on Saturday, October 28, 2017 after the 3:00 p.m. deadline to determine the potential winner of the Prize. The potential winner will be announced at a barbeque located at Meridian Credit Union’s branch at, a Facebook post, and/or will be contacted via telephone. The Sponsor will make a minimum of 2 attempts to contact the potential winner by phone in the 7-day period following the applicable random draw. In the event the Sponsor is unable to contact the potential winner in such 7-day period, such potential winner may be disqualified at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, and the Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, hold another random draw to select another potential winner, in which event the provisions of this section will apply to such alternate potential winner.
All prizes are distributed at Meridian Credit Union at 125 Dundas St N #1, Cambridge, Ontario. Prize will not be shipped to the potential winner. The potential winner must successfully answer a skill-testing question unaided and unassisted and present government-issued photo identification verifying the residency and age of the entrant, and sign the Contest Release & Acknowledgement at Meridian Credit Union - Cambridge to receive the Prize, which, among other things, (i) confirms compliance with these Rules, (ii) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize as awarded, (iii) releases ShopCambridge.ca, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, and their respective advertising and promotional agencies and all of their respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns, and any other person or entity associated in any way with the contest (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with this Contest, (iv) confirms the winner’s agreement to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his or her name, visage, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, and in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in any manner, including, but not limited to, print, broadcast, and/or the Internet (including, but not limited to, social media).
Prize is not transferrable and must be claimed as awarded. If a prize is not claimed by November 25, 2017 it will be forfeited. If a prize cannot be awarded in accordance with these Rules, such prize will not be awarded.
GENERAL:
Subject to applicable laws, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate this Contest for any reason.
The Contest and the interpretation of these Rules are governed by the laws of Canada and Ontario.
By participating in this Contest, each participant automatically accepts these Rules, which are subject to change without notice, and automatically releases the Released Parties from any liability arising in connection with the contest.
The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all participants without right of appeal. Anyone determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, to be in violation of these Rules is subject to disqualification by Sponsor at its sole discretion.
In the event of any discrepancy between these Rules and any other material, including, but not limited to, advertising, these Rules will prevail.
CAMBRIDGE BUSINESS CRAWL - FACEBOOK "LIKE TO WIN" CONTEST
CONTEST PERIOD:
The Cambridge Business Crawl's Like to Win “Online” Contest (“Contest”) will run from September 13th to October 28th (“Contest Period”). The Sponsor’s clock is the time keeping device for this Contest.
CONTEST LOCATION:
The Contest will administered online at www.facebook.com/CambridgeBusiness Crawl. The sponsor of the Contest is ShopCambridge.ca. (“Sponsor”). This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
ELIGIBILITY:
No purchase or payment necessary. The contest is open to all residents of Ontario 13 years of age or older at the time of entry. Persons under 18 years of age require permission of a parent or legal guardian. Employees of, members of the immediate family of, or those domiciled with, an employee of, ShopCambridge.ca or the advertising, and promotional agencies and administrators used in connection with the contest, are not eligible to participate. Immediate family consists of parents, siblings, children, and spouse.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Enter by liking contest posts on www.facebook.com/CambridgeBusinessCrawll. Each participant is permitted one entry during each of the 10 giveaways.
THE PRIZE:
Prizes of fifteen (15) $50 gift cards (one each to the 15 featured businesses in the Cambridge Business Crawl) are available to be won during the Contest Period. The winner of each post will win one of the 15 x $50 gift cards.
WINNER SELECTION:
There will be a random draws throughout the Contest Period for potential winners of the Prizes. The potential winners will be announced by a Facebook post, and/or will be contacted via Facebook Messenger. The Sponsor will make a minimum of 2 attempts to contact the potential winner by a Facebook post and/or message in the 7-day period following the applicable random draw. In the event the Sponsor is unable to contact the potential winner in such 7-day period, such potential winner may be disqualified at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, and the Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, hold another random draw to select another potential winner, in which event the provisions of this section will apply to such alternate potential winner.
