Since taking possession of the Cambridge Ice Park, now re-named The Cambridge Sports Parkin March of 2012, Buckingham Sport Properties (also owner of Westwood and Chesswood arenas in Toronto) have engaged in a major revamp of the entire facility.  Buckingham Sports have immediately begun a modernization program to upgrade the facility by adding two new ice re-surfacers, new 4 foot glass in the twin rinks, correcting drainage problems on the ball diamonds and rebuilding the large outdoor deck!

The Cambridge Sports Park is also working closely with Cambridge Hydro to retro-fit the facility with energy efficient electrical systems.  The Sports Park has just recently installed LED lighting throughout the facility to make it brighter while saving in energy costs.  They will not be stopping there! Over the next few weeks, customers will have new washrooms both upstairs and downstairs to use, along with sliding doors at our main entrance and much more!

As Buckingham Sports Vice-President John Cook explains: “Seeing is believing! The Sports Park will have what every sport enthusiast wants: Great ice, beautifully groomed volleyball courts, amazing ball fields, and of course, icy cold beer!”
